About Us

At heart, we describe CFGSA as Isandla Esiphayo – which is a South African Nguni name meaning, “a giving hand” in English.

Our passion lies in restoring the dignity of young girls in townships and rural areas through donating sanitary and hygiene packets. We also aim to give young girls the necessary tools and care they need to excel as they grow into womanhood.

Did you know that to date (2022) approximately 7 million South African girls do not have access to, or cannot afford to buy, sanitary products?

We believe that women and young girls everywhere deserve access to sanitary products, dignified treatment and education on menstrual health management. This is a human rights issue that all of us must strive for.

As individuals, and organisations – we can all help to change this by taking a step of action, one girl at a time.

A hand that gives, is a hand that cares.

Meet the Founder

Mpho Mogorosi is the founder of CFGSA.

Mpho is passionate about serving her community and giving young girls a platform that will help them excel and finish school.

As an advocate for ending period poverty, Mpho started CFGSA based on the experiences she had encountered personally and through her peers growing up in the township.

Mpho enjoys educating young girls about menstruation hygiene and sharing enough tools and resources to ensure that young girls prosper as they navigate school.

As a giver at heart, Mpho’s values are rooted in servant leadership, love and making a positive impact.
